My chain and I would like to visit Dubai for 7 days. I am a British passport holder, while she has a Brazilian passport with an indefinate make to remain visa to say in the UK. After viewing the UK UAE embassy web site I am still a little confused. All visa requirements seem to be for people who paucity to say in the UAE for 14 days or longer. Can someone please confirm if she needs to arrange a visa in advance if we were to go.
Answer: Yes, your brazilian chain does need a visa. Means, she needs a sponer which can be any hotel in Dubai or a fellow/family member holding a valid residence visa.

I am ambiguous on my company leave policy.
it says, if we take a leave of 5 calendar days, the actual days will be arranged as 5 x 1.4 = 7 days. Is this within the UAE Labour law? I hope it is not. All of your valuable suggestions are invited on this as we are going to solicit this issue with the management.
Answer: This might be advance asked of your supervisor or human resources department... I realize they're your opponents in negotiations, but they're as likely as not in the best position to answer why it is calculated like that.
In order to comment on whether it's objective, I'd have to ask how your annual leave is accrued. For example, where I work we earn leave (PTO, or Paid Span Off... vacation and holidays) each biweekly pay period and calculated in number of hours (including decimal places).
The only way I can over of, offhand, where your description would be fair is if you are given a certain number of weeks shove off, and that number is converted to days at a 7:1
