My violin strings are remarkably loose, and my E string broke. i live in al ain, UAE, near abu dhabi and dubai, and I need my strings repaired by the end of summer but i dont skilled in where to go. Do you know any instrumental stores, or just anywhere i can get my violin repaired, or where I can at least buy new strings from? - thanks.

I've accepted a job and I'll be striking to Abu Dhabi, UAE in April. I just wanted to know if any one has been there and what they think. Is there a lot to do? Are the people neighbourly? How are the women? Any suggestions on places to go? Any info would help. Thanks

Is Anyone In UAE (Dubai Or Abu Dhabi) Able To Use VOIP Like Skype Or Vonage To Call The US With A US Number?

I am defective to to use a VOIP in Abu Dhabi to make and receive calls to and from the US with a US phone number. What considerate of connections or VPNs are necessary to bypass Etisalat or Ud? I am looking for answers from people that have literally used VOIP recently in UAE and what they have found works best.

Answer: Mostly skype is blocked throughout most of the UAE. Sometimes you can get google talk to work, and MSN talk sometimes works as well.

But since all of those skirt paying the government for international phone calls, the government blocks those services.

Answer: Recruitment agencies in New Zealand won't hire for UAE. You have to connection local working recruitment agencies and apply online. If shortlisted you will have a phone talk and if lucky get hired.

All visa and labour related costs have to be on the employer. Never pay any recruitment energy as this illegal in the UAE.
