Anybody Have Experience With Empost UAE?

i have a very valuable container being shipped by them from dubai and it has been very delayed. my friend in the uae says she called and they say it is because of snow delays of europe and us flights. i can't call them because the tally isn't working and they won't reply to emails. i tracked/traced the package and its still in the dubai hub where it has been for a week since dec 26. should i be nervous?

Answer: There were a link delays in Dec. due to weather condition in Europe, but European Airports didn't end down for weeks. Some American Airports closed down because of snow but for domestic flights only. Many of my friends left-wing for Christmas going to USA and Europe, all of them made it there and some came back already. Also shipments from the UK reached Abela's during this but. Therefore, Empost's delay can't be weather related. 2 years ago I send a letter from UAE to Europe and it took 2,5 months. Never again.

Why did your sweetheart ship something valuable through regular mail instead of using UPS, FEDEX, etc? Since my episode with Empost I use Aramax and I am statisfied.

Answer: Most outstanding thing for you to do would be to contact Empost. YOu can find their telephone number on their website. They probably have a special anyway for mail like brochures - I assume you want to send your brochures to definitely a few people.

A Package That I Sent In KOTA KINABALU Was Held In Customs. How Should My Brother Get My Package?

I was sending a cellphone and cestus for my brother who is working in KL. I sent it through EMPOST UAE AL Ain EMPOST updated that it was receive last March 3, 2010 and was held by customs that I do not recollect the reason. How should my brother get it? If he ever get it with he be paying an amount and how much?

Answer: The Malaysian Customs will name names you of how much tax to pay[ if any], and where and how to collect the package. OR

The Malaysian Custom will release the package to the courier [EMPOST UAE..] with intrucrions to heap up any tax payable from your brother, and which will only release the package after all costs and tax have been paid up. OR

Ask your fellow-countryman to enquire at a branch of UAE EMPOST or its representives in KL as to what to do. You need to provide to your brother the significant information such as the airway bill number or its equivalent.

I thinked this is a little tricky to do or if possible would takes time to get done. So i asked my train to transfer my visa under their sponsorship.
