Is Premarital Sex Illegal In Uae And What Is The Penalt For Expatriates?
Question by George S | Posted in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered
I am a european villager and I live with my girlfriend in Dubai, UAE.
Is it illegal to stay in the same flat?
Answer: the laws dont novelty for expats. but it really depends more on the girls religious standing than on anything else because it is a moral consequence. if neither she nor her family make a fuss then its different than if her family is calling her to account for it. they can invoke sharia** law which is imposed by the islamic holy body and entered into voluntarily by the accused. they can opt out in some places and face no punishment. (release me if i misspelled that or got my facts wrong) other places take it far more seriously. unless neither of you is muslim in which trunk you are both infidels and going to hell
