is you tube and other video sharing sites banned in UAE ? Can someone access tide, warez sites from UAE ? Is online communication like skype etc. banned in UAE ? What are the other blocked significance websites ? how many ISP's are operating within the UAE ? how many telecommunication companies are operating in UAE ?

you can use torrent softwares but some sites (mostly warez like plagiarist bay & Alta la vista) are blocked. Others like Mininova are not blocked.

My colleague and family is applying for a visa to UK for visit me. They would like to visit Paris also when they will be here. How they can put to use for a schengen visa from UAE? Tehy have residence permit to live and work in the UAE.

Answer: If they have a residency permit for the UAE they can attend to the French embassy in Abu Dhabi or the French Consulate General in Dubai (whichever is closer).
