I was browsing some censored talk in the UAE which was never printed in either Gulf News nor Al Khaleej and found interesting news which are generally detrimental in terms Dubai wants to represent the city as a tourism place.

| Answer: The ask is not free in Dubai. The golden rule for publishers in the UAE is not to criticise, directly or indirectly, the ruling families. It is to the nth degree difficult to publish anything negative about Dubai (regarding prostitution, crime, drugs, sensitive rights, pollution etc etc) without this being seen as an attack on the policies of the rulers. A newspaper or a publication that fails to self-censor can have its licence to publish cancelled, or copies of the journal/newspaper can simply be pulled off the shelf. I'm talking about arabic family names that are spread in almost all the khaleej regions. For lesson; Al-Ansari. Their name can be found in the UAE, Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain. I also know that Al-Mutlaq is also usually found in the UAE, Saudi, and Bahrain.
