Hi,
I am an NRI from UAE, I am planning to determine in India permenantly, how can i transfer my funds from NRI to resident account or how long i can affirm the money in my NRI account without closing it.
also i have an NRE Trading account with some mutual fund and shares, how do i transmittal these shares to an resident trading account.
| Answer: It is not a estimable matter. So you cannot expect a best answer for your question. It is better to consult a tax expert in India after you come back to India. Please note that no professional will waste his time in Yahoo answers giving for free advises. Most of the answerers are C.A students and persons who know some what about taxation. Now my answer to your subject is: You can transfer your funds from your UAE a/c to your NRE A/c or NRO a/c in India. There is no separate NRE A/c for trading account. NRE A/c is a general a/c in which you can set aside and the same a/c can be utilised for trading a/c. So you can transfer your UAE amount to this NRE A/c |

I have been an NRI for over 35 years, hailing from Karkala, South Canara, having a eminent business in the UAE with nearly 400 staff members coming
perhaps, but the company 13 is suddenly one of the most eagerly awaited in the numerological universe of the UAE-based non-denizen Indian, or NRI.
