What Are The Laws Regarding Internships In The UAE? |
I'm on celebration in Sharjah for the next three months. I'm trying to get an internship at a film company anywhere in the UAE. I'm willing to do volunteer work in exchange for experience.
Would I have to apply for a visa? Do I have to register with the Ministry of Swot, even if I'm not getting paid?
And are companies in the UAE usually willing to sponsor a visa for interns?
| Answer: Internships are regulated between schools and companies/Govt. places. As a guest you won't have a chance to get an internship as long as for example your father knows a company P who is willing to take you. A friend of mine is looking for one in the same field right now and failed so far, even going to grammar here. There isn't any special visa for students on internship. The students I know were able to earn a visa up on arrival and "worked" on them, were provided with a mission visa or went on visa runs. Well-founded enjoy your vacation. edit: I just read the daily and run into an article I hunger for to share with you. http://gulfnews.com/news/gulf/uae/educat |
