RAS AL KHAIMAH // Snow covered the Jebel Jais space for only the second time in recorded history yesterday.
So rare was the event that one lifelong in residence said the local dialect had no word for it.
Answer: It won't shut up the kooks up. Their latest mantra is "climate isn't the same as weather". AS IF! Of execution climate is weather. Weather is determined by the climate. That's why it snows in Antartica and not in Saudi Arabia, and until recently, not in the UAE! But reasoning is wasted on these people. They might shut up when their lips freeze together though. We can only hope!

Anyone hip know about the history of UAE.. I just need a pharagraph of the history, maybe about when Great Britain entered into treaties with UAE... if anyone knows anything about this, please take me out!! thank you.
Answer: UAE was converted to Islam in the 7th century; for centuries it was embroiled in dynastic disputes. It became known as the Freebooter Coast as raiders based there harassed foreign shipping, although both European and Arab navies patrolled the limit from the 17th century into the 19th century. Early British expeditions to protect the India employment from raiders at Ras al-Khaimah led to campaigns against that headquarters and other harbors along the coast in 1819 . The next year, a normal peace treaty was signed to which all the principal shaikhs of the coast adhered.
