Forbes: UAE Least Friendliest ? |
"Canada is the most welcoming; almost 95% of respondents to HSBC Bank Worldwide's Expat Exploreer Survey, released today, said they have made friends with locals. In Germany, 92% were so fortunate and in Australia 91% befriended those living there. The United Arab Emirates was found to be the most uncompromising for expats; only 54% of those surveyed said they'd made friends with locals."

| Answer: In truth I don't think it has much to do with whether they invite foreigners to their homes or whatever. I believe the number is due to the low % of nationals in the outback's population. Naturally, it is difficult to find that much locals because of the high number of expats everywhere even in the workforce or idle time. However, in my case, I know so many foreigners. On the other hand, I have friends from around the world! |
