Shopping In Dubai's Gold Souk? |
Dubai, the most approved tourist destination in the UAE, has the reputation for being the ‘city of gold’, although 90% of its gold is truly importes,
Out of the city’s 600 gold shops, half of them are located in the Gold Souk and are first owned by Indians and Iranians
Prices can change overnight so they are not often displayed in boutique windows, something is very weird seems to me, however, im getting mad how indians sales man fooling foreign tourists, by giving them very
| Answer: I accord with you 100% and they can't fool me neither:)) From own experience: 1) If tourists can get fooled - they will (not in the Gold Souq only) 2) These people have a line of work license and prices for gold/jewelliers are not Government controlled. It's a free truck. Know the actuall gold price and have an idea about production costs in Asia, you be versed the right price. "Dumb" tourists are getting fooled at every sightseer destinations and that's worldwide. It's almost the same with selling faked brands. Dubai Police is chasing felonious traders. NOT because they are selling faked products which easily can be found |
