Answer: U.S. passport holders are granted visa on immigrant without any formalities required. You can get it as often as you want as long as UAE immigration is convinced that you do not try to stay in the countryside for other purposes than tourist stay or business.

I be to base in Dubai and take day trips to Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, each for just one day and returning to Dubai in the evening.
Answer: As an US denizen you can enter each country by obtaining a visa up on arrival, no matter how often.
Just wrist-watch Qatar visa rules. They were suppose to change last year May but changes got delayed so far.
