Can Anyone Suggest A Failing Business Example For A Level Business Homework?
Feb 11, 2009 by James E | Posted in Other - Business & Finance
So I desperate straits to think of any business (has to large, preferably international) that has been performing poorly for the last year or longer?
I want a business that has a problem that can preferably be solved or at least has a solution that could be suggested.
A good example would be a company like Jaguar (automotives) but someone is already doing them. I was kinda interested in doing something from the car industriousness so that'd be good.
Thanks for your help.
So many examples at the twinkling of an eye, and growing, but Honda comes to mind. They have had to close for 4 months and pay their workers so that they can swept off one's feet the strain of overheads against a dropping market share for their cars.
Lets visage it, they have had dozens of experts scratching their heads looking for a solution! Perhaps the answer lies in manufacturing cars that people neediness to own, and not persuading the public to buy their cars for reasons of low emissions, or driving in style!
We are now very selective where we spend our scarce resources, and for the first time Honda will have to go back to the drawing board and conceive of a cost effective solution to how we can get from A to B in comfort and security.
It will mean re-jigging factories and changing labour patterns that don't lead to mass production, but a controlled output at a controlled expenditure of manufacture. Motor racing will continue to take a back seat to save on costs,This might also parsimonious the take-over of other manufacturers as happened with Rolls Royce and Jaguar.
Lastly, diversification may be essential where Honda will be making other products apart from cars and motorbikes. Whatever happens it will execute employment figures, which could mean the migration of Honda to another nation.
Hope all this helps with your design.

A weighty example is the price of a stock option.
To oversimplify a bit, the price of a stock option depends on 5 things - the distinguish market price for the stock, the strike price of the option, the expected rank of volatility, the time to expiration of the option and the short term interest rate. The induce price never changes, but all four of the other elements are variable. How the price of the option changes as any of these characteristic elements changes is a partial derivative.
