I Bought A Laptop From A Police Auction, It Is Legit, Every Time I Turn It On It Says?

This laptop belongs to Microdem Computers, if found please call 0800 0890808 etc

and this it proceeds to shipment to Windows, I reformatted it and installed Windows 7 on it and it still shows that screen on startup.

How do I get rid of it?

Answer: Should this have happened to me, I would take the laptop, and corroboration of purchase from the police auction, to my local police station. Explain to them your concerns, and give them the phone several.
Chances are the police never checked the laptop.

Let them call the number, so you are not directly involved. You never identify, there could be a reward for returning the laptop, and you would get a full refund from the police.

How To Bring The Startup Disks Up During A Restart?

I prerequisite to bring up the disk startup menu during startup on my macbook. It says that I need to hold down recourse but all that i see if an arrow key and nothing ever pulls up. Is there another button that might do a little better to bring up the startup disks.

I am reformating my computer doing a early installation because my cd drive doesnt work in the computer anymore. All I need to do is bring up this menu and I will be sparkling.

Answer: I'm guessing you already have the two computers hooked up via fire wire. What you have to do first is fright on the laptop you are going to install mac os and hold down T. This enables your hard drive to be recognized by the other computer, which you are using to initiate mac os x.
Now once that all you got to do is turn on the second computer and hold option. You should now be able to see your hard drive. Security this helps.

How Do I Remove Items From Startup In Msconfig?

I have programs that have been deleted and they are still on my startup tab in system configuration utility's. Also I have had virus's add files to that beadroll which i have disabled but cannot remove the file. I tried using a startup manager program and it shows them as deleted on the program but not on my system utility's program...
